Helpful Information
Are your dogs health checked?
Yes, both of our girls have had all relevant health checks fro the breed as well as some additional ones such as CDDY.
You can check their results on the UK Toller club website.
Where are the puppies raised?
In our home throughout their time with us! The puppies have their own nursery pen which takes a whole room in our house but they also have the run of the downstairs and our garden (supervised of course). Arthundur puppies are family dogs from the moment they are born.
How long is your waiting list?
We never want our puppies to be treated as a commodity so would never choose an owner based on a first come first served basis. We are picky and want the puppies to go to the best homes possible. However, once we have read an application and have decided that a Toller would suit your lifestyle we would add you to our waiting list and give you a rough idea of how long you may have to wait. Obviously there are no guarantees as mother nature makes the big decisions.
At the moment this may be a 2 year wait.
How do you match a puppy to their owner?
We get to know owners as well as we possibly can from emails, zoom calls, meet-ups, text messages etc to develop a relationship and an understanding of what they are looking for in their future dog. Once we have a clear picture we wait until the puppy is 5-6 weeks and begin to match up the puppies based on their temperaments etc. We also take into consideration things such as gender, if the owners are wanting to show their dog, if they have children, if they are working their dog etc. We also ask owners input on preferences.
What are a Tollers Grooming needs?
In our experience Tollers are pretty low maintenance in regards to grooming. As long as they are brushed regularly and have their nails trimmed there is not much else that is needed. Please NEVER shave your Toller (unless it is for health reasons).
What do you feed your Tollers?
We have fed raw in the past but currently feed kibble. we feed a mixture of raw and kibble to our puppies
Vaccinations?
It is strongly advised not to vaccinate a Toller before 10 weeks of age. We advise potential owners of this and ask they do their own research to make an educated decision for themselves however there has been links made between early vaccination and autoimmune issues in the breed such.
What support is offered once the puppy leaves your care?
Firstly, we offer a take back if any of our owners circumstances change and they can no longer look after their dog we will take the dog back this is in our contract. We offer 24/7 communication with our owners if they need advice we are on the other end of a phone. We also have a Facebook group just for Arthundur families where they can share ideas and achievements as well as ask any questions. Each litter of owners also have their own whatsapp group where they can talk and ask questions etc. We also offer a yearly meet-up so all arthundur dogsĀ can meet and we get to see everybody! Communication is definitely a strength of ours we are open and honest and here to support our families as well as anybody interested in learning more about the breed.
What does an Arthundur puppy come home with?
A fully comprehensive puppy pack that includes all the socialisation the puppy has had, worming and flea treatment information, food and dietary information, grooming info and basically everything you could possibly need.
